Drone Service Providers

Clear requirements, streamlined workflows, and consistent expectations for survey‑grade deliverables.

Aerotas works with drone teams who serve the surveying and civil engineering community and ensures deliverables are produced under the proper professional oversight.
Our Commitment to Survey‑Grade Standards

Aerotas is a proud supporter of the Professional Land Surveying and Civil Engineering community. And thus, Aerotas is proud to work with Drone Service Providers who also support this community.

To be used as a legal land survey, projects must be performed under the responsible charge of a Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS/LS). This includes the planning, supervision, and verification of ground control. Drone operators can collect imagery/point clouds, but a licensed surveyor must establish and/or verify the control and direct the survey workflow for the deliverable to be represented as a survey.

Therefore, Aerotas will ask to verify the licensed land surveyor that is in responsible charge of the project, before processing any data from a Drone Service Provider. This practice protects Aerotas, you as the Drone Service Provider, and the Land Surveyor who is responsible for sealing the survey.
