Input Data Type

When creating a new project there are several choices for the input data type (the primary type of files you’ll be sending us). You may sometimes want to send us multiple different types of files, and that’s ok - please read below to learn more about each input data type category and when it should be selected.

Aerial Imagery

Select this option if you only have jpg photos, taken from a drone, to send to us for photogrammetry processing. If you have any Lidar data at all, please select the appropriate lidar option instead.

Aerial Lidar

Select this option if you intend to upload lidar data collected from a drone for processing. Further, if you have Aerial Lidar AND Aerial Imagery to upload, select this option.

Ground-Based Lidar

Select this option if you intend to upload lidar data collected from a ground scanner. Further, if you have Ground Based Lidar, plus Aerial Lidar, and/or Aerial Imagery, select this option.

Extension Project

Select this option if Aerotas has already processed your project and you’d like us to draft on the previously completed project. You should have no new data to upload if you select this option. When selecting this option, be sure to specify the original project you’d like us to draft on using the dropdown menu.

If you’re looking to have a new set of photos or lidar merged with an older project, please select the appropriate input data type and use the customizations menu to communicate the project scope.
